Chimera7aus 100% Designed and Manufactured in Australia

What timbers do we use?

Primarily we use white plantation pine for the timber roads and the 2D/3D Puzzles, some products in development are also going to be using Balsa and high grade plywood, these are the aircraft kits and for the timber track it will be the buildings and bridges etc. All timbers are from sustainable plantation suppliers.

How do we finish our products

The aim, or goal of our Chimera7 products is to keep everything natural, bringing uniqueness to every single item we make. We use a mixture of machines and hand tools in every step, but every piece is individually made! No mass production methods are used, nor do we plan too. Keeping the human element is important to us, so you will see when you put what should be the same parts side by side, even they have little differences. This is a mixture of using a natural material, being dressed timber, and putting it through various stages of machining and hand finishing. It is important however not to confuse this with effecting quality levels.

Our focus on sustainability and recyclability.

With our suppliers local and showing their sustainable supplies, we now focus on 100% of our packaging being recyclable. No fancy cardboard or inks are used, even the tape holding the boxes together is recyclable.

Supporting local industry.

Our first port of call when looking for suppliers is local sustainability. While we know that some does come from over seas, like the balsa we use, it is from an Australian company that has set up a plantation as it is difficult to grow here. If you are a local business and you feel you could supply us some materials, let us know, for current or future products, it is great to have contacts and a supply chain.
